Grey Knight WIP -Front-by Colin-Midwest

Front view of my Grey Knight Terminator costume I've been working on for some time now. Built with expanding foam and fiberglass.

you could consider taking molds of the armor and selling it to other 40k fans

Molding is a very costly thing to get in to.

This is quite good, I particularly like the helmet, however, that is because it is finished and the rest isn't, yes?

Actually at its size i wouldn't paint in Highlights i would just go with a flat color. With a larger object there is no need to "fake" shadow. Great work so far could use a bit o sanding yet and a few more coats of paint but awesome.

The weathering I've done closely resembles highlighting. Corners tend to scrape/chip first, so a fresher/shinier "layer" of armor is revealed underneath thanks to some handy dry brushing.

At least that's what I'm trying to emulate. Not exactly deliberate highlighting but it looks good regardless. :P

Wow, great job.
All you need now is some decent painting done on the armor and a few highlights and it'll be great, i suppose.

this is incredible!, but out of curiosity if your planning on taking it to a convention or somthing how exactly will you get it there?, i dont think you'l fit it in a car and i couldnt see someone walking 30blocks in it

It fits in my car, but it's far from practical for anything other than a casual stroll. I made it with the plan of entering it in a local art contest or two. It may not be in my possession for very long after that, though. :\

This... looks... so... Termishhhh =DDD

Listen, I'm planing a space marine cosplay in up coming years, and I'd like to know the material you've used? Its looks some sort of cloth/plastic/something, and it seems to work very well. Did you use the same material on the helmet?

Plaese let meh know!! =)

Carved from insulation foam, covered in fiberglass mat, cured with resin, and then finally sanded.

The final result involves near-endless Bondo/joint compound building and sanding to be considered "finished."
